Message From Principal

Dear Students and Parents,

I am delighted to welcome you all to Vikas Pre-University College. I hope to convey the passion and enthusiasm that both staff and students bring to all that they do here, making Vikas Pre-University College such a wonderful place to learn.

As we step into this new academic year, filled with hope and dreams of scaling new heights, I wish to reiterate the importance of few things that we have to keep in mind. children should not be forced, but should be guided to achieve whatever goals they may have in their minds in an easy and pleasing manner, so that we may be able to discover the particular touch of genius in each one of them.

The purpose of education is to teach our children to think and develop a capacity to reason out facts. Students should keep in mind the importance of planning and prioritizing their time and the effective use of it which are essential to achieve success.

My efforts lately have been to make Vikas Pre-University College an environment friendly college. I strongly believe in the adage, “We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.” Time is running out for all of us and we need to rectify our erroneous way of plundering nature, or else nothing will be left for our children.

We are a completely student-oriented and student-centric institution and believe that a judicious blend of modern techniques and traditional values and beliefs will sustain us and bring success to our students.

I wish you a very happy and academically highly rewarding student life in Vikas Pre-University College and hope that you will enhance the pride and honour of this prestigious institution.

begins here

Vikaas Pre-University College came into existence in June 2012. The first batch of students consisted of 183 students from different parts of Karnataka. In a matter of 5 years the number of students has gone up to 900. Among these 700 reside in our hostels. The college caters to the Science and Commerce streams.

It has the required infrastructure and manpower to support its quest for excellence. The teachers are trained to empower students to explore their potential to the fullest.

Core Values

The college aims at the transformation of its students into academically accomplished, emotionally balanced, ecologically sensitive and socially responsible persons to empower them to effectively engage in society building.

The college aims at imparting meaningful education where the four spheres of personality – physical, intellectual, spiritual and the emotional – work harmoniously towards the upliftment of fellow beings in the society.

The college believes in inculcating humane values which in turn become the principles of living with which students can implement the products of practical thinking and creativity

With the experience of managing a Physiotherapy College and inspired by the success, the Trust sought to reach out to the larger interests of the society. There was an acute shortage of quality Pre-University Colleges in Mangaluru; at the same time, parents from other parts of Karnataka wanted their children to study in Mangaluru. To cater to both needs, the Trust started Vikaas Pre-University College.

The Trust comprises members who are qualified, competent and committed to the field of education. With a vision to provide quality education for today’s globalized and competitive world they set up Vikaas Group of Institutions.

Vikaas Education Trust established Vikaas Group of Institutions in the year 1993, and as a maiden venture started the College of Physiotherapy in the same year. The college offers a Bachelors Degree course.
